Mwendwa on adapting to life in Zambia after leaving AFC Leopards

Former AFC Leopards pacy winger Harrison Mwendwa became the latest Kenyan to cross borders to Zambia as he joined Kabwe Warriors back in mid-August. Kabwe Warriors ply their trade in the Zambian Super League and are currently in the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing fourth last season.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Mwendwa revealed that adapting to life in Zambia has not been a walk in the park as he arrived when the team was putting the final touches in their pre-season campaign. ⭐| Harrison Mwendwa @harryquin3 of @AFCLeopards is your player of the Week for Matchday 31#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/MIY6rPJ6JV— FKF Premier League (@Officialfkfpl) August 11, 2021 “Settling in Zambia has been hard because I came when they were almost done with their pre-season. Other than that, it’s been great month since I moved here and I am now adapting to the way of life . It’s almost like Kenya but life is a bit slow here,” said Mwendwa. The 28-year-old midfielder failed to hit the heights he displayed at Kariobangi Sharks while at AFC Leopards but had a strong finish to the season, providing a hat-trick of assists against Vihiga United.Mwendwa went on to compare the level of football in Kenya and Zambia adding that he is yet to meet any of the Kenyan contingents in Zambia but linked up Kenneth Muguna whose Azam FC held pre-season training in the country. 54’Harrison Mwendwa bossing the flanks A thorn in the Vihiga United defenceHe sets up Peter Thiong’o AGAIN t⚽AFC Leopards 3 Vihiga United 0#Betsafe #OursForever #INGWE pic.twitter.com/7zNVSmsVeX— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) August 7, 2021 “The level of football is not the same, Zambian coaches are serious with training.
