Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) giants AFC Leopards are set to face the auctioneers’ hammer with their offices currently closed and on the brink of auction.Photos seen by Mozzart Sport show their shop placed under lock and key with an auction notice emblazoned on the doors. Efforts to reach any of the AFC Leopards officials to comment on the matter were unsuccessful with calls going unanswered. One of the Soft Power Aucontineers revealed that AFC Leopards buses stand at risk of being auctioned to settle their Ksh 2 Million debt.“If you contact them they can give you more details, we will auction what will cover their debts it could be all their buses if it will cover the amount,”“The amount is about Ksh 2 Million but I may not have the exact figure, I will have to countercheck the documents to give the full amount,” said one of the Soft Power Aucontineers representatives. This will not be the first time that AFC Leopards is set to be auctioned by Soft Power as in 2020 the auctioneers demanded Ksh 2.6M from the club to settle Ivan Minnaert’s debt following a High Court ruling on a case touching on his unlawful dismissal back in 2016.Minnaert first went to the Football Kenya Federation Tribunal where he was awarded Ksh 2.6 million in 2017.
