At the end of the 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League end of season Awards Gala, Kariobangi Sharks forward Eric Kapaito made history by becoming the first player in recent times to win two Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards after being crowned the MVP for the 2020/2021 league season.In addition to that, the forward also bagged his second top scorer award after banging in a league high 24 goals in thirty two games for his club. All these accolades followed after his heroics in the 2018 helped him bag the prestigious double awards.Moving into the 2021/2022 season that is scheduled to commence in eight days, the Sharks forward has fixed his targets on even more success, the former FC Talanta striker aiming to close in on a league title to add to his glittering individual trophy cabinet that also includes a cup crown.“I have now won the top scorer award twice and the Most Valuable Player crown twice in the league. Winning the league is the next target for me as I have already tasted cup success with Kariobangi Sharks previously. But after grabbing the headlines once again in the just concluded season, the striker, who revealed his adulation for Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga who currently plies his trade with Qatari side Al Duhail, is hopeful of landing a deal outside the country to enhance his career.“As a player, you always want to play at the top level and I believe that is what I need. I am really praying that I get a good team out of the country for me to experience what our Stars abroad are feeling in the other leagues. There are talks currently ongoing and I hope we can get it done.
