Nairobi City Stars have confirmed the acquisition of midfielder Michael Madoya from Tusker FC and Dennis Wanjala, a left-back from Nzoia Sugar for undisclosed periods.Madoya moves to Simba wa Nairobi after he was released by Tusker FC at the end of last season while City Stars had to cough some amount to acquire Wanjala who had been with Nzoia Sugr since 2018.City Stars CEO Patrick Korir was full of praise for Nzoia for the manner in which the negotiations for the left-back were conducted.“Wanjala still had a contract with Nzoia Sugar but, after successful negotiations, he was allowed to leave and join Simba wa Nairobi. We thank Nzoia Sugar for being very professional in the discussions and for having the interest of the player at heart,” he told the club website.He lauded for Madoya for the experience that he will bring into the team’s attack. The two had a lethal combination back in the 2017 season for Zoo and a revisit of that partnership played a big part in his acquisition.” Added KorirWanjala will don jersey 26 that belonged to Bolton as Madoya settles for his preferred jersey number 5.Meanwhile Kevin Okumu has returned to the club permanently.
