The derby match between France’s most successful teams in recent history was basically decided by the referee’s decision to give a soft penalty to Neymar (who else) and not to check VAR first. It’s hilarious that when VAR check is finally introduced, referee’s don’t automatically check it when they award a penalty. Because if Clement Turpin did it, he may have overturned his decision, as it was evident that both Neymar and Gusto were pushing each other, and then the Brazilian just fell down. End of story.
