Gervonta Davis is set for his next fight on Saturday, December 5 when he faces Rolando Romero. The pair squares off in the scheduled for twelve rounds bout live on pay-per-view on Showtime from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets information is expected to be announced shortly.
Davis, who puts his WBA ‘Regular’ lightweight title on the line, made the announcement on Twitter. Mayweather Promotions followed it up sharing the event poster.
Undefeated Gervonta Davis (25-0, 24 KOs) last fought in June when he stopped Mario Barrios in the eleventh round to claim the belt and become three-division world champion. Before that he knocked out Leo Santa Cruz in Round 6 and TKO’d Yuriorkis Gamboa in the twelfth.
Unbeaten Rolando Romero (14-0, 12 KOs) was in action in July when he stopped Anthony Yigit in Round 7. Prior to that he similarly defeated Avery Sparrow and scored a unanimous decision against Jackson Marinez.
The list of bouts featured on Davis vs Romero undercard is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
