The federation and Gor Mahia have a case to answer at the FIFA Discplinary Committee after they registered players who went ahead and played in the FKFPL Super Cup despite a transfer ban being in place by then.K’Ogalo had in a protracted battle with its former winger Dickson Ambundo after the player reported the club to FIFA for unfair dismissal. He won the case and Gor Mahia was order to clear his arrears. He (player) also stated that he had received part of the amount owed and asked about the status of the transfer ban. On the same date, FIFA informed the parties that the transfer ban is still implemented on the club since the total amount has not been paid to the player.” FKF in the same correspondence acknowledged receiving communication from FIFA in regards to the transfer ban still being in place but proceeded with the registration of the new players for the 2021/2022 season and allowed them to feature in the season opener against Tusker.On 25th September Gor Mahia cleared all the arrears owed to Dickson Ambundo and the player requested FIFA to lift the transfer ban.
