Nzoia Sugar captain Peter Gin is expected to resume training next week after recovering from illness that saw him miss their previous match at home against Sofapaka.The defensive midfielder had been down with Malaria but he says he has since recovered and will be hoping to regain fitness and muscle for playing time last week.Gin who will miss their mid-week duel against debutants Kenya Police revealed that the illness had confined him to the hospital bed for two days but he is back on his feet again.Nzoia Sugar FC. I am still rusty and thus will miss the next game. I believe I will be ready for competitive football next week next game. I cant wait to help the club bounce back to winning ways and also play for the first time this season considering that I missed the opener too,” he said.Having watched their goalless draw against Sofapaka from the stands, Gin who is on the verge of entering his tenth season at the club rued hard luck for the dropped points.The sugar millers were seeking to redeem themselves from a 1-0 loss inflicted by Ulinzi Stars in the opening round of the season in Nakuru.The captain who doesn’t wear the armband”We played well against Sofapaka but we were unlucky in front of the goal. We bossed the game and created several chances. The display against Sofapaka was way better that of the opening day,” he observed.
