Win against Sofapaka a great boost for Mathare – Akwana

Mathare United tactician Ezekiel Akwana is a happy man after guiding his side to their first win of the season, his maiden victory since taking over the reins of the team in September.Akwana was appointed to take over the Slum Boys following the exit of Frank Ouna who steered Mathare’s ship to avoid relegation before leaving for Rwanda. The former AFC Leopards coach compared his team’s performance to that of the previous season where they went for 12 games without recording a win at some instance, terming it a big improvement.”The win has a very big impact on the team because if you remember last season we played 12 matches without a win, and now winning in the third game means that there is improvement in the team and the boys are ready to push themselves,” Akwana said.Matokeo Ligi Kuu nchini 🇰🇪. I had said before that we are climbing the stairs. In the first game, we were beaten 3-0, in the second 1-0, and in our third, we won. In our next match, we shall try our best to maintain a clean sheet,” he added.16′ GoooaallllllDanson Kago yet again!
