Eight sides set to vie for promotion to KRU championship league

Eight third-tier teams will be hoping to be among the two finalists who will earn promotion to the 2021/2022 Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Championship which is the second tier of Kenyan club rugby when four matched pairings take centre stage this weekend, Saturday 6 November 2021.The teams fighting for promotion to the second tier include Shamas Foundation, Maseno University, Kitale, JKUAT Cougars, Kabarak University, TUM Marines, CITAM Kisumu and Daystar Falcons.The eight teams have been paired against each other and there will be four fixtures on the cards as the nationwide playoffs take place across four different venues in Nairobi, Kitale, Kabarak and Maseno.Shamas will host Maseno at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, Kitale will welcome the JKUAT Cougars at St. Joseph’s Kitale while Kabarak University will be taking on the Technical University of Mombasa in Kabarak.
