Otanga double sinks beleaguered Wazito at Kasarani

Former Wazito striker Derrick Otanga returned to haunt his former team as he grabbed a brace that ensured KCB inflicted more misery on Wazito FC after beating the Francis Kimanzi coached outfit 2-0 in an FKF Premier League match played on Friday afternoon at the Moi International Sports Center in Kasarani, Nairobi.Wazito are now yet to win in six matches and the gaffer believes its still a confidence issue that’s affecting the team.”We have been looking for the first win but it is not coming but I have a feeling that we are getting closer, we will have to keep working for it. KCB on the other hand wanted to make it three wins on the spin.The first chance of the game went KCB’s way in the second minute when a quick interchange of passes between James Mazembe and Derrick Otanga set up the later, Wazito skipper Johnstone Omurwa however recovered to deny the striker with a last-ditch tackle. Otanga however got his goal two minutes later when Simon Abuko raced down the right flank before crossing the ball and striker did the rest, firing home with a plomb.Wazito’s Vincent Oburu, in his first start the season, got two quick chances in the 10th and 12th minutes. Wazito responded by taking off Erick Otieno for Tyson Otieno.Wazito continued to push for a goal but at the back they remained exposed and severally Otanga and Co came close to extending the visitors’ lead.
