Babu: League break a blessing in disguise

Kisumu All-Stars head coach Salim Babu says the two-week league break that was announced by the FKF caretaker committee will be beneficial to his team on the injury front. The committee, that was named to run football activities in the country for the next six months by CS Amina Mohammed on Friday announced that suspension of all leagues across the country for the next two weeks to pave way for the establishment of their structures. Although we could have wished for the league to continue, the stoppage is not entirely a negative thing,” he stated.All-Stars will resume training on Tuesday after a couple of days as Babu says he did not want to risk overtraining the players.“I gave them a few days off for them to just relax because we had prepared during pre-season well and we do not want to over-train when our next league assignment is in two weeks’ time. We will resume training on Tuesday and prepare well for our next assignment,” he added.
