He has undergone diprofos infiltration and will be out of action for 28 days,” the club tweeted.🚨 INJURY UPDATE 🚨Bonface Onyango has been diagnosed with patella tendinitis with hoffa’s fat impingement (left knee). He has undergone diprofos infiltration and will be out of action for 28 days.#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/CkKH76srOX— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) November 16, 2021 This will not be the first time the defender has suffered injury as in the space of the last six months. Back in June, Onyango suffered a Supraorbital fracture on the right side of his face after sustaining a trauma in training, an injury that saw him miss the better part of the second leg. in the 2020/2021 campaign. This time though, Onyango is hoping that the decision to treat the niggling knee injury at a time when the Football Kenya Federation Premier League has currently been temporarily stopped will see that he does not miss a lot of action by the time he completes his rehabilitation.“The knee injury has been going on for quite some time and since the league has been stopped I decided to take the treatment right now. Luckily no surgery was needed and I only needed an injection and plenty of rest. I should be recovered after three weeks and I hope I will not miss a lot of action,” the player said.Monday Memories.@k_sharksfc ,@NechesaWesonga#LIVMUN #mondaythoughts pic.twitter.com/yDdAzkZXTi— Bonface Onyango ‘Kajos’ (@KajosOnyango) January 18, 2021 The local leagues are expected to resume on 26th November 2021.
