Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala says he is using this league break to gauge his fringe players in training and friendly matches with a plan to give those who will impress playtime when the game resumes.The FKF Premier League is currently on a halt after the FKF caretaker committee that was appointed by the government suspended all leagues across the country for a period of two weeks. The leagues are tentatively expected to resume on 27th July.With the league taking an extended break, teams are busy preparing for its resumption and for Mwalala it is time for him to look keenly at the players that saw little playtime or did not play at all in the first six league matches of the season. I want to see those who are ready to compete for positions so that when the league resumes I give them an opportunity. It is upon them to grab a chance,” he said.On his training plan, Mwalala says they are doing it in a more relaxed manner as they do not want to exhaust players early in the season.
