Pamzo terms K’Ogalo’s Kisumu camp a success

Gor Mahia assistant coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo has hailed their weekend training camp in Kisumu where they featured in two friendly games against National Super League sides.With the FKF Premier League suspended, Gor were in Kisumu over the weekend and played two friendly matches against Shabana FC on Saturday and Kisumu AllStars on Sunday, Gor Managed to pick a 2-1 win over Shabana before falling to AllStars by a similar margin. Both matches were staged at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.For Pamzo, this was just more than a trip away from Nairobi. He says they used it to not only gauge their players’ match-readiness but also to bond as a team.“This has been a good trip for us both in terms of preparations for the Sunday game and even in terms of team bonding away from Nairobi. The Saturday game was played by the players who are registered for CAF Confederation Cup, they are 16 in number while on Sunday, those who are not part of the CAF CC contingent played; these are newly acquired players.“We divided the squad into two; Players who will be playing the CAF Confederation Cup featured on Saturday against Shabana FC while those who are not registered for the tournament played on Sunday against Kisumu AllStars.
