Money, watches, jewellery – all gone! Ansu Fati’s house was robbed with his relatives inside

A big incident rocked Barcelona wonderkid Ansu Fati on Saturday night. While he was at Camp Nou, looking as his teammates beat Espanyol in Xavi Hernandez’s first game in charge, there was a drama unfolding 20 kilometres away – in his house.Fati’s home in Sant Cugat del Valles was broken into while the footballer’s relatives were inside. While they were watching the Barcelona derby on television on the ground floor, the burglars sneaked into the house via the upper floor.Tuesday, 23.00: (1.75) Barcelona (3.70) Benfica (5.40)The family heard strange noises from the part of the house that should have been empty and were struck with fear. They phoned the police to report suspicious activity. Policemen arrived quickly but the thieve or thieves were gone by then. It was found that many expensive objects were missing – luxury watches, jewellery as well as an undisclosed amount of money. The robbery looks like a work of professionals because the surveillance cameras have been deactivated while the thieves were inside the house.🚨🚨[ @LaVanguardia ] | Ansu Fati’s house was broken into and robbed while he was in a game against Espanyol. pic.twitter.com/rJMJiyBs7t— BarçaTimes (@BarcaTimes) November 22, 2021 This whole incident is a lot like the one endured by Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria. In March 2021, the Argentine was substituted off during his team’s match against Nantes and was seen in a serious-looking conversation with manager Mauricio Pochettino on the sideline. The player left Parc des Princes to be with his family after a group of burglars had managed to steal a safe from Di María’s home. The winger had been robbed of jewellery and watches worth at least $600,000.Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident in the Fati residence. The only injured person remains Ansu Fati himself – the young midfielder still recovering from the thigh injury he picked up two weeks ago in the thrilling 3-3 draw at Celta Vigo.
