Reprieve for Mwendwa as court closes graft file

The state has close embattled FKF President Nick Mwendwa’s file and ordered that he be refunded the Ksh. 4 million bail that he had deposited last week.This means that orders issued by Milimani Chief Magistrate Court Wandia Nyamu on 15th November have been vacated. The judge’s bail terms barred Mwendwa from accessing FKF offices, federation staff, not to speak to the media and not to attend to any football related activities.How powerful is Nick Mwendwa…The guy is just walking scot-free pic.twitter.com/0qDb8gceTQ— Martin Wachira (@Martowachira) November 25, 2021 Mwendwa was a fortnight ago arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) what the DCI claimed was misappropriation of over half a billion kenya shillings. He was then arraigned in court last week with DCI seeking orders to detain him for a further two weeks as they probe the allegations that came out of an audit carried out by the sports registrar.More to follow………
