Wazito, City Stars share the spoils in Ngong

FKF Premier League sides,Nairobi City Stars and Wazito FC played out to a one-all draw in an entertaining friendly match that was staged at Ngong’s Vapour Stadium.With league matches currently suspended in the country, the two teams were using the friendly to remain match-fit ahead of league resumption in a week’s time. The FKF caretaker committee has announced that the league will be resuming on 4th December.Heading into the game, the two teams had faced off earlier in the season in a league match that Nairobi City Stars picked a 3-1 win at the Thika Sub-County Stadium.Wazito’s Rooney Onyango and Mike Madoya of Nairobi City Stars were on target to ensure that the closely fought match ended in a stalemate.Earlier today we took on Nairobi City Stars in a friendly match at Vapour, Ngong.The match ended in a one-all draw. Playing such matches is important because it helps us remain match-fit and ready to play when the league resumes,” he told Mozzart Sport.“We started the league slowly but we have had more time to prepare for the forthcoming matches. I am confident that we will turn things around soon,” he added.City Stars are currently third in the FKF Premier League (FKFPL) log with 13 points while Wazito are 17th with two points.
