Lazio have had some amazing strikers down the years. Hernan Crespo, Christian Vieri, Marcelo Salas, Miroslav Klose – to name a few. But all those big names lay below Ciro Immobile in the club’s record books.Earlier this year, Immobile became the club’s all-time top scorer as he overtook Silvio Piola, the man whose record stood for nearly a century. Currently at 19, Immobile needs one more strike to equal the record still held by now-Inter boss Simone Inzaghi. Playing in Lazio’s sky blue for ten seasons between 1999 and 2011, Inzaghi appeared in European games for the club in six seasons and managed 20 goals in 42 games. Now Immobile is just behind him.The 31-year-old Italy international Immobile has been with Lazio since 2016 after less than satisfactory spells with Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla. Although he was born near Naples in the south of the country, he really found his home at Stadio Olimpico in the capital city of Rome. So far he’s got 163 goals in 235 appearances for Lazio – with 28 European games yielding 19 strikes.
