Double injury blow for Homeboyz as MVP is sidelined

2021 National Super League (NSL), MVP Potiphar Odhiambo, will have to wait longer for his FKF Premier League debut after he sustained a knee injury in training. The Kakamega Homeboyz defender joined the team before the start of the 2021/22 FKF Premier League but is yet to make his debut owing to the stiff competition in the central defence department at the club. Coach Bernard Mwalala has been working with George Odiwuor and Brian Eshihanda at the heart of defence. He was in the terrace for the first few games before making it to the bench just before the league was suspended and was expected to fight for his place in the team when football resumes in the country over the weekend. He has however sustained an injury that will now keep him out for an unspecified period of time. He expressed his disappointment over the injury setback but remains positive that he will be back playing soon.National Super League MVP Portipher Odhiambo in Homeboyz colors#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/ivlJ8olnje— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) September 21, 2021 “It’s disappointing not to be able to play but I have tried to remain positive to ensure I go through the recovery process as ordered by our physios. I am yearning to get back to playing, especially now that I will be doing so in the Premier League.
