The Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) and the FKF Women Division One League are set to kick off on December 18, 2021, and January 8, 2022, respectively.Representatives from all but two clubs playing in the two leagues met on Thursday, December 2, and agreed among other things to have the leagues start on the said dates.While SEP Oyugi’s missed the meeting, all the same, Oserian were absent with an apology and the two were the only clubs not represented in the meeting at Nyayo StadiumVIP Lounge Boardroom.From the meeting, it was agreed that the Caretaker Committee would cater for the payment of the referees, match day ambulance, and Security.FKF WOMEN DIVISION 1 LEAGUE TEAMS 2021/22 SEASON.—ZONE A.1. We were heard and we listened to them too. If this had been the trend from way back our Women Football would have been miles away,” Akinyi told Mozzart Sport.While the FKF Premier League and the National Super League will receive a Ksh 300,000 and Ksh 250,000 respectively as grants from the Committee, Mozzart Sport understands that plans are underway to have the women’s teams receive grants as well with more details on the same expected next week.
