Real in for Rudiger, Barca courting Christensen

Potential free agent, 37-year old, potential free agent. That’s how a rock-steady Chelsea defense looks at the moment. Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger form a three man defense which conceded only 9 goals in 15 matches, but these players are to be separated soon, according to reports from both England and Spain. Christensen has received offers from La Liga and Serie A, while Rudiger has offers from Bundesliga too. Considering Silva’s age, it’s quite possible that come June 2022, current Champions League champions will have to shop the whole new back line. Attila the HungarianAntonio Rudiger has revived his career under Thomas Tuchel and became one of the best defenders in Europe. That also meant that his stock is now sky high, and he wants to capitalize on it. At 28, his next contract should be his biggest yet, and he knows it. He rejected a numerous contract offers from Chelsea, as he values himself a lot more, and according to the latest reports, this time from The Independent, he is certain to leave Stamford Bridge in June. Madrid are leading the race for Rudiger’s signature after reaching an ‘informal agreement’ with his brother and agent Sahr Senesie. Senesie met with Los Blancos chiefs a few weeks ago to discuss a potential free transfer for his sibling, which the two parties can officially begin negotiating on January 1st. That also means that Chelsea still have just under 20 days to make one more improved offer. Bayern Munich are also very much interested, but they don’t have the money to match Real Madrid. (6.50) ZENIT (4.20) CHELSEA (1.57)Andreas Christensen is not as good as Rudiger, but will also have plenty of suitors. He is playing well and as a free agent is even more desirable. He just isn’t in the plans of top clubs, and currently, wounded Barcelona is not among them. The Catalonians are looking for new players, and considering their financial plight, and also their defensive cover, the Dane would be a great signing. AC Milan is also interested, since Simon Kjaer is done for the season, and they want to pair two Chelsea players together – Fikayo Tomori and Christensen. Luckily for the Blues, the Dane is not demanding to be in the range of Lukaku, like Rudiger, so his wage demands will probably be easier to negotiate, although they have still not found an agreement.
