Sharks out to extend unbeaten run against Nzoia

Since earning promotion back in 2017, Kariobangi Sharks have never lost a game to Nzoia Sugar and are looking to extend the impressive run on Saturday 11 December. The two teams have locked horns nine times with Sharks emerging victorious on six occasions while three draws have been staged on the lopsided fixture.Kick off time is 1PM. #sweeteningkenyanfootball. @Nzoiasugar pic.twitter.com/y43xZYngFv— NZOIASUGARFC (@nzoiasugarfc2) December 10, 2021 Nzoia Sugar have however made Sudi Stadium a fortress in recent times with Sharks failing to beat them on their last three visits.Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Nzoia Sugar custodian Humphrey Katasi is banking on their home form to get the better of Sharks.“We have prepared well for the game against Sharks. They have not had a good record while travelling to Sudi to face us and we are looking to extend that record on Saturday. The mood in the camp is positive and we are hoping to get a win this weekend. We were looking to put an end to our losing streak against City Stars and we are happy we did. Getting a point away from home against a side like City Stars is not easy so we are looking to build on that result,” said Katasi.Nzoia are however on a torrid run of form as they are only one of two sides alongside Vihiga Bullets that are yet to win a game this season but will be buoyed by their draw away to Nairobi City Stars last time out.League top scorer, Sharks’ Felix Oluoch noted that their loss last time out to Kenya Police FC was a tough one to take but is hoping to break their barren run in Sudi. The lads held a light training session at Sudi stadium this evening ahead of tomorrow’s task against Nzoia Sugar FC#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/UvWlEIlfcu— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) December 10, 2021 “The game will be tough because we are coming from a loss and they will also be looking for a win but we are ready for whatever they throw at us.This time we are looking to take points from teams that beat us or took points from us last season and we are also looking to capitalize on their not so good run of form,” said Oluoch.
