Maelo notes improvements in Police’s performance

Kenya Police FC Team Manager George Maelo says he is contented with the progress his team is making and is confident that they will get better with more games.The newbies started the season badly and have just two wins to their name. They have not lost in their last two outings, however. They beat Kariobangi Sharks 3-1 before settling for an entertaining one-all draw against Wazito FC. Their next assignment is a home match against Bidco United.Many expected them to take the league by storm when they made some high-profile signings before the start of the league. He says his team is starting to gel well hence the improved understanding amongst players.“I am really impressed by what I have seen since the resumption of the league. We have been showing a lot of improvement in every game despite having mixed results, this is as a result of the players starting to understand each other’s way of play and with time this team will be very strong,” he told Citizen.Police was promoted to the top tier at the end of the National Super League (NSL) season via playoff. They defeated Vihiga United 2-1 on aggregate in the playoff to seal a top tier berth. The team is currently 12th in the FKF Premier League log with eight points.
