City Stars defender over the moon after rare consecutive clean sheets

Nairobi City Stars defender Edwin Buliba has expressed his utter delight after being handed the opportunity to feature in the team for the very first time in the ongoing 2021/2022 season.Just a week ago, in Matchday Eight, the dreadlocked centre back was handed his maiden start this campaign as he was partnered alongside Salim ‘Shittu’ Abdallah where he kept a clean sheet as City Stars played to a barren stalemate against Nzoia Sugar.Environment-friendly City Stars end use of plasticsIn the following week, he was again entrusted with a rare successive spot in the team. He made his premier league debut against KCB in Matchday Two of that season then went on to pick his first start against Wazito on Matchday 23.His first 90 minutes in the premier league was against Mathare United on Matchday 31. He added one more full game in the season-ender against KCB in Narok in August.With Nairobi City Stars currently fourth on the log, Buliba will be hoping to once again be in the squad that will take on second-placed KCB with a place at the top of the log up for grabs albeit momentarily.
