Police fry Bidco at Kasarani

Flashy Kenya Police FC saw off Bidco United at the Kasarani Annex, hitting them 3-0 to record their third win in the league this season.Clifton Miheso, Charles Ouma, and Clinton Kinanga scored for Police to grab all three points and leapfrog Bidco on the log to 11th with as many points.Bidco United started strongly, with Alex Keke Juma noticing the Police custodian off his line and attempting the ambitious long ball, twice in the opening stages.Clifton Miheso opened the scoring for Police 29 minutes into the game from the spot after the referee adjudged Kassim Mwinyi to have handled the ball in the box and awarded a penalty. The former Gor Mahia winger stepped up to take the penalty he had earned and made no mistake, burying it deep in the net to give the hosts the lead and extend his season’s tally to five. The Anthony Akhulia-coached side pushed for the equalizer, playing mostly on the attacking front but the goal would not come.Instead, it was Police who doubled their advantage with just three minutes left to play in the first half, capitalizing on an attacking foray by Bidco to hit them on the counter.Duke Abuya raced down the right from a quick restart, before cutting the ball back for Charles Ouma who rammed the ball into the net for the second and Police lead into the interval.Upon resumption, Bidco made known their intention of staging a comeback by stringing a couple of attacks. However, their plan was not meant to be as Police capitalized again on the counter to score the third goal through Clinton Kinanga just 10 minutes into the second half.Bobby Ogolla was the first to make a change at the stroke of the hour mark, bringing in Alvin Mangeni for Aryine Odongo.Emmanuel Mogaka almost grabbed one back in the 65th minute after Silicho Simiyu failed to clear the ball but his poked effort went over the bar.Akhulia made a double change of his own, bringing in Henry Omollo and Peter Anyona for Mogaka and Nelson Chieta.Despite enjoying a comfortable 3-0 lead, Ogolla added his firepower by bringing on John Mark Makwatta for Abuya just after the second-half water break. For the final 8 minutes, Bidco brought in Lameck Oloo and Steven Okiro for Orem and Keke, and Oloo’s first touch on the ball on a free kick could have seen Bidco score but Jacob Onyango was not clinical enough.Kenya Police Starting XI: Reuben Juma, Cornelius Juma, Faustine Samaki, Silicho Simiyu, Musa Mohammed, Duncan Otieno, Clifton Miheso, Duke Abuya, Charles Ouma, Clinton Kinanga, Aryine OdoyoSubs: Gedion Ogweno, Benard Omondi, John Mark Makwatta, John Njoroge, Alvin Mangeni, David Oluoch, Alwx LuganjiBidco United Starting XI: Edwin Mukolwe, David Kalama, Lambert Oyuga, Kassim Mwinyi, Gabriel Wandera, Jacob Onyango, Emmanuel Mogaka, Stephen Obukui, Nelson Chieta, David Orem, Alex KekeSubs: Brian Opondo, Geoffrey Kariuki, Anthony Simasi, Francis Oduor, Zachary Gathu, Steven Okiro, Lameck Oloo, Henry Omollo, Peter Anyona
