AFC Leopards dropped another two points following their 1-1 draw against FC Talanta on Sunday with head coach Patrick Aussems pegging the draw on profligate finishing.Ingwe took the lead in the opening 10 minutes of the game through Dan Musamali but squandered a plethora of chances with Talanta pulling level barely a minute into the second half through Edwin Lavatsa.FC Talanta vs AFC Leopards matchday gallery #Betsafe #OursForever #YaMatere pic.twitter.com/rFhkR7dOaF— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) December 20, 2021 Aussems noted that his side had a number of chances to bury the game adding that the team failed to utilize the numerous chances that the team created.“Sometimes when you cannot win you need not to lose and I cannot score for my players unfortunately because we had a lot of opportunities in the second half. We conceded a goal after 40 seconds and that can happen. We tried everything to score – we had opportunities but we were not efficient,” said Aussems. The game was a mirror image of the draw against Vihiga Bullets a fortnight ago where Ingwe wasted a number of chances and ended up courtesy of a last-gasp Michael Isabwa penalty.#Betsafe #OursForever #YaMatere pic.twitter.com/Wcce5TBL2A— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) December 20, 2021 The draw leaves AFC Leopards two points above relegation places having won just two games against Posta Rangers and reigning champions Tusker FC.Despite the frustrating recent results, the 12-time Kenyan champions are enjoying a three-game unbeaten run after going on a five-game losing streak.
