Too soon to label Vihiga Bulltes relegation candidates, says coach Juma

Vihiga Bullets head coach Juma Abdalla believes that it is too soon to label his team relegation candidates and is adamant that will lift themselves from the basement of the FKF Premier League soon.Bullets are rooted at the bottom of the FKF Premier League and are the only side without a league win so far this season. They have two-point accrued from draws against Bidco United and AFC Leopards. The other eight games have all ended in defeats with the team shipping in 27 goals in the process.Despite being in a hopeless situation, Juma remains positive and believes that it is too soon to label his team relegation candidates. He believes that a couple of wins for his team could entirely change the narrative.“I have seen many right us off, calling us relegation candidates. We are at the bottom but when you take a keen look at the table, the gap between us and the teams above us is not big and two or three wins could change things so fast. I keep encouraging my players not to focus on the negative energy coming from outside, we have a job to do and that is where we should channel our energy and it is just a matter of time before we move from that danger-zone,” he said.40′ Goooooaaaaal!Benard Ongoma⚽️Ulinzi Stars FC 2-0 Vihiga Bullets✅ The captain heads home Daniel Waweru’s corner; No chance at all for Benard Otieno in goal✅ Raha tupu leo nakwambia hapa ASK Showground – Nakuru😎— Ulinzi Stars FC (@UlinziStarsFC) December 18, 2021 The league has taken a ten-day break for Christmas before resuming on 29th December for round 11 matches. For Juma, this is a good opportunity for him to fix the team’s defensive issues which he believes has been their main undoing.“Although it is a short break from the league, we will try to make the most out of it by fixing our weaknesses and try to come back stronger next week. Our main issues have been at the back, we have good players who lack top-flight experience and they have had to learn on the job which sometimes can be demanding and cruel. I cannot blame them because I am seeing some improvement and we will keep working with them in training until they get it right on the pitch, it is just a matter of time before everything clicks and we become more consistent result-wise,” he stated.Bullets will host Sofapaka at Bukhungu Stadium on 29th December.
