Liverpool want to sign Klopp’s old flame Zielinski five years after missing out

Liverpool are relentless on the pitch, but they don’t give up in the transfer market either. Five years after missing out on Piotr Zielinski, Jurgen Klopp wants to give it another go. The Polish international was on the verge of becoming a Red back in 2016 while he was still a Udinese player. That time, Napoli were quicker and lured the playmaker to the Campania region for a fee of around $17.6 million. Tuesday, 23.00: (6.50) Leicester (4.40) Liverpool (1.55)Klopp never took his eyes off the 27-year-old, however, and he may have another chance to sign the player he admires so much. Although the price would be a lot higher! Now with 66 international caps, Zielinski developed into a goalscoring midfielder last season, netting 10 times and providing another 13 assists from the centre of the Napoli team.Liverpool have reignited their interest in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.Klopp is a long-time admirer of the 27-year-old but the Poland international’s long contract with the Serie A side could make a move difficult. Zielinski clearly has talent and Liverpool are known to follow players closely even if they miss out on the first time around or choose to take a different path.
