Forgotten man Pistone Mutamba at the double in Nepal

Kenyan international Pistone Mutamba grabbed a brace as his Nepali Club, Himalayan Sherpa downed Chyasal Youth 3-1 in a Nepali league match played on Saturday morning.Before the game, the former Wazito FC, Bidco United, and Sofapaka man had scored one league goal and he added a brace on Saturday morning in what was an important win for his new club.The striker opened the scoring in the 25th minute and added a second in the 57th minute before Rumesh Bartaula pulled one back for the visitors in the 75th minute. Any hopes of the visitors picking anything out of the game were dashed when Suresh Kumal added a third in the 80th minute. For his troubles, he was named man of the match in the game.“I am delighted with my first brace for Sherpa because it not only helped me add to my tally but also helped the team win which is the most important thing. The target is to continue working hard and scoring goals to help my team. He also disclosed that the people in the country love football.“It is a competitive league and so far I can say that I am enjoying it here. The people here love football and I want to make them happy through scoring goals and most importantly winning goals,” he added.The win lifts Sherpa to 6th in the log with eight points after six rounds of league matches. Next for them is a match against Satdobato on 3rd January 2022.
