Bandari cry foul after Sofapaka block them from accessing Wundanyi Stadium

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Bandari have accused their counterparts Sofapaka of unsportsmanlike conduct after latter barred the former to train earlier today at Wundanyi Stadium ahead of their Wednesday match. Barely hours to the match, the visitors are bitter with the hosts for denying them an opportunity to work on their final drills.Bandari team manager Albert Ogari revealed that efforts to convince the Sofapaka management to allow them train at the county government-owned facility were futile and will be forced to look for an alternative venue.🛣️ Twenzetu Mzinyi 🔥Voi ➡️ Mariwenyi ➡️ Mwatate ➡️ Dembwa ➡️ Josa ➡️ Wundanyi📍Sofapaka vs Bandari – 4th January – Danson Mwanyumba Stadium – 3PM.#BandariNiYetu ⚓ pic.twitter.com/t1Vf4Tjs7U— Bandari Football Club (@BandariOfficial) January 2, 2022 “It is unfortunate that Sofapaka have blocked us from training at Wundanyi Stadium. We tried engaging them but they were not interested in letting us in,” he lamented. Sofapaka are understood to have shifted their home matches from Nairobi to Wundanyi last season after striking a deal with the county government of Taita Taveta. In a rebuttal, Sofapaka president Elli Kalekwa said they elected to serve Bandari a dose of their medicine for they have been turning down their requests to train at Mbaraki Stadium whenever they visit the coast.🎙️The manager on;◾Bandari tie◾Decent December run◾Title chances◾Team News⬇️ Read more on https://t.co/sCshzozj6I@betikaKe@OyandoRonny#BatotoBaMungu pic.twitter.com/pDTvOdOR5c— Sofapaka FC (@FC_Sofapaka) January 2, 2022 “I do not understand why they are making a big deal out of it. They have been denying us the chance to train at their backyard whenever we have a match against them. We have always factored in the expenses of hiring a venue to train when we have a game in Mombasa, ” he said. The two teams will be looking to pick from where they left as Sofapaka saw off Vihiga Bullets 2-0 while the dockers beat Ulinzi Stars by a solitary goal.
