A 10-man KCB side blew a chance to go top of the table after suffering their first ever defeat (1-0) against Bidco United courtesy of a 6th minute goal from Jacob Onyango in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match staged at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday afternoon.Despite suffering a deflating loss, KCB assistant coach Godfrey Oduor lauded Bidco United for the win but turned his focus on their next match against Kakamega Homeboyz who currently lead the standings.”The game was okay, we congratulate them for the win that they got and it is now upon us to go back to the drawing board and see how best we can prepare for our next match against Kakamega Homeboyz,” said Oduor.Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia was delighted to see the three points move the up to 12th on the log and emphasized on the importance of beating KCB for the first time in the club’s history.”This is a very important win for us because we have moved up the table though not too far but at least it’s an inch gained and also KCB has been beating us each and everytime so this is a very important win,” said Akhulia.Robinson Kamura received his marching orders in the 37th minute when he stepped on David Gateri’s face who was down after a tussle between the two players.KCB came into clash enjoying an 11-game unbeaten streak since their defeat at the hands of Gor Mahia at the start of the season, a run that put them firmly in contention for the title. Bidco United on the other hand were finding the tough going in their second ever season in the Premier League, winning only three out of their 12 games thus far this campaign.Anthony Akhulia’s men were quickly off the blocks and only took six minutes to break the deadlock through a well taken corner from Alex Juma that went far post and was redirected to the danger area by David Gateri with Francis Oduor returning the near post for Jacob Onyango whose looping header hit the crossbar on it’s way in evading an outstretched arm from Gabriel Andika.##EDITORS_CHOICE##KCB struggled to grab the game by the scap of the neck with Bidco’s well organized defense proving difficult for the Bankers to break.
