Mainly due to Morocco’s win over Ghana and the quality of Comoros’ team, Gabon is sitting in second place in Group C of AFCON. Gabon were lucky to score at all since they didn’t show much during the game. Actually, it was the Coelacanths who had the initiative, but they just weren’t good enough to score. Aaron-Salem Boupendza scored the only goal of the match, after a great solo effort when he took a shot from almost a dead angle. He was basically not aiming at all, but the ball went in and a goal was excellent.
