Former Gor Mahia assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo has set a top four finish as his irreducible minimum at his new work station, Tanzania Prisons. Odhiambo who crossed the border seven months ditched the financially struggling Biashara United for Prisons last week and will be attached to the latter until the end of the season. With Prisons placing eleventh on the log with a similar number of points, six off the top four bracket, Odhiambo believes that he his the right man to fire the club to the top four and proceed to the CAF Confederation Cup. Although the former Sony Sugar tactician inherited the team from his compatriot Francis Baraza when they had cemented a place in the top four, he held on until the final round of the season to book a place in CAF matches. “I want to help this team finish inside the top four. I am glad I took over when there is time to turn around things and fight for the targets that I have set for the players. Even though I did not have the opportunity to beef the squad as the window is set to close on Saturday, I am sure we will achieve our goals,” he said. I think after my contract runs out here, I will return to Kenya and reunite with my family for a while and later resume coaching,” he added.
