KCB call for better officiating in the league

KCB FC assistant coach Godfrey Oduor has called for better officiating in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) terming the vice as unfair to clubs. This comes after KCB were reduced to 10-men in the 1-0 loss to Bidco United over the weekend with Robinson Kamura being sent for an early shower. #FKFPL➡️Kakamega’s @FcHomeboyz returned to the top of the table.➡️ @FcVihiga shocked @wazitofc for their first ever top flight win➡️ @BidcoUnited denied @KCBFootball the opportunity to go top pic.twitter.com/JOyYkJPaMf— FKFcaretaker (@FKFcaretaker) January 9, 2022 Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Oduor revealed that some referees make calls that are questionable and quash all the efforts put into preparing the team for a game“We as KCB don’t like talking about officiating but I think the league should look at how best they can improve their officiating because training the team the whole week which means you spend a lot of hours in the training ground,You come to the ground and you find a referee who makes calls that when they analyse later they see it was questionable. This is not fair to clubs at all and something needs to be done about it soon,” said Oduor. The game against FC Talanta was officiated by Caroline Wanjala who was under pressure after brandishing the red card midway into the first half as KCB players protested every decision. After the game a section of KCB players confronted the referee demanding an explanation to what they termed as questionable calls made by her in the game. The red card came about when Kamura accidentally stepped on David Gateri’s face who was on the ground after a tussle between the two players with the latter failing to return in the second half.KCB will hope to bounce back to winning ways when they take on table toppers Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday at the Kasarani Annex in a 3 PM kick off.LOST OPPORTUNITY ! @BidcoUnited deny @KCBFootball the chance to return to the top of the table#FKFPL #KCBBID pic.twitter.com/Isu1U8Vyne— FKFcaretaker (@FKFcaretaker) January 9, 2022
