No surprise in Berlin: Bayern ran over Hertha with four goals

Maybe Hertha Berlin managed to surprise Borussia Dortmund in the last game of 2021 and win all three points, but against league leaders, there was no surprise. The Bavarians switched their turbo charge on and ran over Hertha Berlin, who can only thank their keeper Schwolow and Bayern’s lack of concentration for not receiving 8 goals instead of 4: Hertha Berlin – Bayern 1:4. This was one of those games where Bayern was the only team for 90 minutes and looked like a steamroller compared to the relegation strugglers Hertha, who managed only two shots on goal for the whole game. For Bundesliga champions, this game looked like a stronger training and they managed to increase their advantage over second-placed Borussia to six points. The game basically started with a goal from Tolisso in the 2nd minute, but VAR confirmed that the Frenchman was offside. But, in the 25th minute, after two chances from Coman, Tolisso was on target with a good header after Coman’s cross. Bayern wanted to put the game away in the first half already, but the hosts managed to defend themselves until the 45th minute when their sloppy free-kick defending was used by Muller, who was left alone and used the opportunity to score. In reality, the score should have been higher, but a combination of Bayern’s misses and Hertha’s defending ’saved’ the hosts from a catastrophe.Bayern continued with its relentless attacks in the second half, but from a number of chances, the Bavarians converted only two. Hertha goalkeeper Schwolow made a few superb saves, only to make a terrible vertical pass to his teammate with was intercepted by Sane for an easy goal. Serge Gnabry, one of many excellent players who were picked up by Arsenal, only to let them go before they blossomed scored the fourth goal with a wonderful volley right in the bottom right corner. Sane matched that with a great volley of his own, just 10 minutes later. Hertha managed to score the consolation goal in the 80th minute, which was their only shot on target in the second half. Similar to Schwolow, it was Upamecano who made a terrible pass which was intercepted by the hosts and Ekkelenkamp scored an easy goal.BUNDESLIGA – ROUND 20FridayEintracht Frankfurt – Arminia Bielefeld 0-2 (0-2)/Wimmer 5, Schopf 27/SaturdayBorussia Monchengladbach – Union Berlin 1-2 (1-1)/Kone 40 – Kruse 18 pen, 84/Leverkusen – Augsburg 5-1 (2-0)/Bellarabi 9, Diaby 24, 65, 69, Alario 81 – Maier 62/Hoffenheim – Borussia Dortmund 2-3 (1-1)/Kramaric 45+1, Rutter 77 – Haaland 6, Reus 58, Raum 66 og/Greuter Furth – Mainz 2-1 (1-0)/Dudziak 12, Bell 66 og – Onisiwo 90+3/Freiburg – Stuttgart 2-0 (1-0)/Ito 37 og, Schade 72/Bochum – Koln 2-2 (1-2)/Holtmann 25, Asano 70 – Hubers 36, Modeste 45/SundayRB Leipzig – Wolfsburg – 2-0 (0-0)/Orban 76, Guardiol 84/Hertha – Bayern 1-4 (0-2)/Ekkelenkamp 80 – Tolisso 25, Muller 45, Sane 75, Gnabry79/
