Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia sack entire coaching staff

Days after suffering a 3-0 loss at the hands of Posta Rangers, Gor Mahia’s management has cracked the whip, firing its entire technical bench according to several media reports. The heavy defeat in the hands of the mailmen was a culmination of what has been a torrid period for the record Kenyan league champions who are also facing financial issues and have not paid the players and staff for a couple of months. The office has now parted ways with head coach Mark Harisson, his assistant Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo, and goalkeepers’ trainer Jerim Onyango.Harrison joined the team last August as a replacement for Vaz Pinto who resigned and left for Portugal. Pamzo on the other hand joined the team at the start of last season while Onyango joined the team in March 2021 following the exit of Willis Ochieng.REPORTS😂Gor Mahia head coach, Mark Harisson, his assistant Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo and goalkeepers’ coach Jerim Onyango have been dismissed.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/AaTxxgkoGn— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) January 29, 2022 Reached for comment, Harrison refused to comment on the issue stating that he is set to meet the club chairman, Ambrose Rachier at midday on Saturday.”I have a meeting with the chairman at noon, until then I cannot comment on this matter,” he stated.Efforts to reach the office for a comment were futile as club Secretary-General Sam Ochola and Sporting Director Lordvick Aduda did not pick up our calls.Gor Mahia’s next assignment will be a return leg match against Posta Rangers.Developing Story.
