Gor Mahia appoint Ugandan tactician Paul Nkata as new head coach

Former Nairobi City Stars, Muhoroni Youth, Tusker FC, Bandari FC and Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Paul Nkata is the new Gor Mahia head coach, Mozzart Sport can report.Nkata takes over from Englishman, Mark Harrison who together with his assistant Sammy Omolo and goalkeepers’ coach Jerim Onyango were shown the door on Saturday due to the team’s poor run in the FKF Premier League.Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia sack entire coaching staffNkata is now new to Kenyan football, he has previously handled five other Kenyan teams and is best remembered for leading Tusker FC to a league title in 2016.He then moved to Bandari for a season before landing at Kakamega Homeboyz. He joined the team in August 2021 as a replacement for Portuguese coach Vaz Pinto who resigned. Omolo, on the other hand, joined the team at the start of last season while Jerry has been in charge of the goalkeepers since March 2021, he replace Willis Ochieng who equally resigned.Nkata’s first match at the helm of the record league champions will be against Posta Rangers. Coincidentally, it is a match against the mailmen on Wednesday that resulted in Harrison’s sacking.
