Oruchum challenges teammates to try consistency

Tusker FC defender Christopher Oruchum has challenged his teammates to remain embrace consistency, something that has been completely missing in the side this season, in an attempt to climb up the table.Speaking to the club’s media, Oruchum urged his colleagues not to get carried away but instead focus on turning the tide in their favor for the good. The defending champions have struggled to string consistent positive results this season, their best being two wins on the trot as they beat Wazito, and Police in the earlier stages of the campaign, and the back-to-back wins against Mathare and Bidco recently.⚽️| Building up towards our midweek tie at home against Bandari.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/PclxsyvhXm— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) January 29, 2022 Oruchum further said that winning at least five games consecutively would put them in a better position to defend their title given the inconsistency displayed by other teams.“I just want to rally my teammates that we should not be carried away but we need to change the tide completely. We need to win five or six games consecutively something that I know will help us defend our title because looking at the table, no team is consistent,” Oruchum said. After playing 14 rounds, two less than most teams in the league, Tusker are 10th on the log with 20 points from six wins and two draws, recording six wins in the process.Though they have played two more games than the Brewers, Kakamega Homeboyz are clear at the top with a gap of 13 points between the two teams which Tusker will need to be at their best in the second leg to close assuming Homeboyz will falter.📸| Tough result to take in after earning a host of chances, but we take the positives and look ahead.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/XOK2788xjB— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) January 24, 2022 In the event that they manage to win both their games at hand, Tusker would go up to sixth on the log with 26 points, reducing the gap between them and the leaders to only seven points and within three points of the chasing pack.Up next for Robert Matano’s charges is a back-to-back encounter with Bandari next week.
