Ulinzi stars new defender Peter Glen Wafula is patiently waiting for his chance to feature for the Soldiers and have a taste of Premier League football since joining from the regional league side Gunners FC.The center back is yet to make his debut for the Soldiers since joining them at the beginning of the season, having been selected form an internal tournament within the Kenya Defence Forces. His competitors for that position, Kevin Ouma and Bonaventure Muchika have formed a formidable partnership in the heart of Ulinzi Stars backline, being the preferred pair but Wafula continues to work hard in training with hopes of breaking into the team soon. The defender has been getting his motivation to continue pushing for a starting berth from constantly being named in the matchday squads and says it is just a matter of time before he earns the nod.”Making it to the 18-man squad has been pushing me to work hard because it shows I am on the right path. It is normally a reflection of the work that I have put in during the week and it motivates me to know that someone is noticing it. I am patiently waiting for the chance to play in the Premier League. It is just a matter of time and opportunity,” Glen said.Comparing the top flight and the regional league where he was accustomed, Wafula terms them very different levels not only during match days but also in regards to the intensity in training.”They are two very different levels. You cannot compare the two. In the Premier League, the work rate of other players is very high even during training and also things such as ball handling. The players are really pushing themselves in the top flight,” he added
