Young Boys seek legal redress in Division One promotion row

Football Kenya Federation Division Two side Young Boys FC have been handed a reprieve in their quest to feature in the FKF Division One League following the decision by the Sports Dispute Tribunal to put on hold the promotion of Kibera Soccer and Dimba Patriots to the third tier league.Young Boys petitioned the Caretaker Committee on the legality, or lack of it thereof, surrounding the promotion of the two sides from the promotion playoffs at their exclusion.While responding to the petition, the tribunal ordered thati. That pending the hearing and determination of the suit interpreted an order for stay be and is hereby issued upon the 1st and 2nd Respondents staying the decision of the 2nd respondent promoting the 2nd and 3rd interested parties to the National Division One League season 2021-2022 enshrined in the letters dated 16th November 2021;iii. That pending the hearing and determination of the suit interpreted an order for prohibition be and is hereby issued prohibiting the 1st and 2nd Respondents from enforcing their decision as against the applicant and from proceeding with the FKF National Division One 2021-2022 play-offs as scheduled;iv.
