Ulinzi Stars, Wazito lock horns in Nakuru

Ulinzi Stars will be hoping to bounce back when they host a seemingly resurgent Wazito at A.S.K Grounds, Nakuru on Saturday starting at 3 PM.While the Soldiers will be seeking to revert to dominance in the fixture, the moneybags will have the intent of completing a league double over the Nakuru-based side having won the first leg in Nairobi by a solitary goal. The two sides have met seven times in the league since the promotion of Wazito in 2018, with Ulinzi dominating with four wins and two draws. The win in the first leg in December last year was the first for Fred Ambani’s charges, then under the stewardship of Francis Kimanzi.Since making changes at the helm of the technical bench, Wazito have not lost a match, winning twice against Nzoia and Wazito at Mbaraki, and playing to a one-all draw in the most recent outing against Bandari.Ulinzi, on the other hand, are reveling at the return of the 2010 title-winning coach Benjamin Nyangweso, and will be hoping that he can steer Ulinzi’s sinking ship to safety in the second leg of the season.Match DayTunaingia Nakuru#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/3fTnJShNw6— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) February 5, 2022 Both teams are in the bottom half of the table at positions 14 and 15 for Ulinzi and Wazito respectively, and a win for the Soldiers would have the greatest impact as they would move to 11th with 29 points.A win for Wazito likewise will see them just overtake Ulinzi to 14th on the log.
