AFC Leopards see their glass half full with massive tie against K’Ogalo looming

AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has defended his team’s inconsistent run in the league this season saying that he has noted a lot of positives in the team.Ingwe have won back-to-back games only once this season with both matches coming against Mathare United who are currently in the relegation zone in the league. On Sunday, the team registered yet another draw against Bidco United at the Nyayo National Stadium. In the last ten games, Leopards have registered four wins, one defeat, and five draws, and asked if the inconsistent run was an issue of concern, the tactician chose to focus on the positives“You can choose to see a glass either half empty or half full. In the last 10 games, we have only lost once,” he told the Star.Ingwe went ahead early in the first half through Robert Mudenyu before John Nairuka levelled the scores for United and reflecting on the game against the Thika based side, the tactician said his team started the match well before crumbling after the quarter-hour mark. We were better off in the second half where we played with a higher tempo and possessed more. We created a lot of opportunities but as usual, we were not efficient enough,” he added.Leopards sit in 13th position with 21 points after 17 rounds of league matches. Next for them is a match against giant-slaying Posta Rangers. Ingwe downed the Mail-men by a solitary goal in the first leg.
