Nzuki and Onyango absence leave Bidco without fluid

Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has admitted that his team greatly missed the services of his two key midfielders Jacob Onyango and Peter Nzuki in the 1-0 defeat to FC Talanta on Saturday afternoon. The Thika-based FKF Premier League club fell to a Francis Kahiro first-half strike and in the process prolonged their winless run to five matches. In the game, United played without captain Nzuki and his midfield partner Onyango. Both players were sidelined with injuries and according to Akhulia, their absence was largely felt in the game and he believes it partly played a part in their defeat.”We missed the two players big time because both are starters and their absence left some sort of hole in that midfield and I can say that it is partly the reason we lost on Saturday. Those are very key players for us,” he told Mozzart Sport.FTMathare United 1-3 Kakamega HomeboyzBidco United 0-1 FC TalantaKCB 0-0 BandariTusker 2-0 Ulinzi StarsWazito 1-2 Sofapaka#FKFPL #RadullLive pic.twitter.com/ndLpN5r4oi— @RadullLive (@radulllive) February 12, 2022 Akhulia hopes to have the players back before they head to Kakamega to face off with Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega.”I think both are two weeks away from returning from injury. I hope and believe that they will be available for the next game against Kakamega Homeboyz,” he added. The tactician added that his team has to start getting wins in their coming matches after a five-game barren run.“We have to start winning again so that we move up in the table. We know our weaknesses and it is something that we have to work on ahead of our future assignments. We have to improve as soon as possible,” he added.
