Mwalala backs maverick Masha to light up Homeboyz midfield

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala is backing new signing Gaetan Masha to be an important player for the club.Masha, an attacking midfielder crossed over to Homeboyz from Nzoia Sugar FC in January. He is expected to deputize Ghanaian midfielder Stephen Opoku in the ‘number 10’ role at the cub. He scored on his debut against City Stars at Ruaraka Grounds after coming off the bench, the match ended in a one-all draw.Mwalala has lauded the youngster’s arrival in the team saying he brings the much-needed competition in the attacking midfield department.“He is a very talented player; he scored on his debut even though he had just trained with us for a couple of days. We needed another player in that position because we only had Stephen Opoku and we expect him to bring competition in that department, to be competitive, you need depth in your squad,” he told Mozzart Sport.Gaetan Masha nets on his debut for @FcHomeboyz pic.twitter.com/hUTVO2PvzQ— Rodgers Odhiambo (@rodgers_otienoo) January 24, 2022 He added that he expects the player to get better with more training sessions and matches.
