First-team debut looming for the Arsenal prodigious talent Omari

When you can’t buy them, just promote them from within! Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have had a largely frustrating January transfer window, having failed to add any players to their first-team setup. But that could prove a blessing in disguise for a few youngsters who are waiting to get the chance to shine for the Gunners.Arteta has added the young winger Omari Hutchinson to his first-team setup ahead of the Brentford match that’s scheduled for Saturday.Under 12 Arsenal player Omari Hutchinson looks like a star in the making. 🔥 pic.twitter.com/aou2Nk1Zqf— Football Tweet ⚽ (@Football__Tweet) January 22, 2016 The youngster has been likened to Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling due to his dazzling technical ability and pace – and the North London club’s faithful have been long since intrigued since seeing a video of Omari’s skills over six years ago. This boy has been a member of Arsenal’s Academy since he was 11 years old and has been catching the eye of everyone at the club. The midfielder signed his first professional contract with the club in November 2020 and stepped up to the Arsenal Under-23s last year. He’s been doing great at that level, registering seven goals and six assists for the Gunners’ development squad. He still hasn’t made his senior bow, but seeing him train with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey and Gabriel Martinelli is an indication that Omari would soon be given a run-out for the first team. So far, he’s been an unused sub three times – against Burnley in the league, Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool. So, what’s all the fuss about? Kids get to train with senior players and sit on the bench all the time. What makes Omari Hutchinson so special?Omari Hutchinson – Future Star pic.twitter.com/0xdPP2qYAr— ™ (@ArsenaIComps) February 17, 2022 According to the football magazine FourFourTwo, Hutchinson is regarded as one of the 50 top teenagers in world football.”Omari Hutchinson is more exciting than Bukayo Saka was in the Under-23s at Arsenal. The teenager has a similarly wicked left foot and an ability to cut in from the left. But he’s flashier, enjoys a mazy run and plays like he’s on his lunchtime at school. With Nicolas Pepe’s future uncertain, Hutchinson might be ready to make the step up to become a squad player next season. Mikel Arteta is keen on giving opportunities to kids and with Hutchinson bullying youth defenders, perhaps he’ll get his chance very soon.”Every set of fans love a good signing, but nothing beats seeing a kid who’s grown up with your club getting a chance to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the world. It’s getting closer for Omari.PREMIER LEAGUE – Round 26Saturday15.30: (1.70) West Ham (3.70) Newcastle (5.20)18.00: (1.70) Brighton (3.50) Burnley (5.60)18.00: (1.65) Aston Villa (3.70) Watford (5.70)18.00: (1.12) Liverpool (10.0) Norwich (17.0)18.00: (1.45) Arsenal (4.20) Brentford (8.00)18.00: (5.40) Crystal Palace (3.70) Chelsea (1.67)18.00: (2.20) Southampton (3.40) Everton (3.30)20.30: (1.32) Man.City (5.30) Tottenham (9.50)Sunday17.00: (4.30) Leeds (3.60) Man.Utd.
