AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems has admitted that he will not be in a position to field the players that the club recruited in January owing to a fresh transfer ban that was slapped on the club by world football governing body, FIFA.Ingwe recruited five players in January to beef up their squad. The five are John Makwata, Cliff Nyakeya, Victor Omune, Josphat Lopaga and Musa Oundo who were expected to turn Ingwe’s fortunes for the better after a difficult first leg.The players were however not registered on time after their former skipper Soter Kayumba moved to FIFA to report Leopards for allegedly renegading on the agreed salary arrears payment plan. Leopards refuted any wrongdoing and the matter was resolved in Leopards’ favor although not on time as the mid-season window had already closed.##EDITORS_CHOICE##As the club tried to get the players registered by the caretaker committee, they were slapped by further sanctions from FIFA. The world’s football governing banned Leopards from signing players until they settle all the dues owed to former striker Shaka Bienvenue who left the club at the end of last season due to nonpayment on his monthly salary. Not yet uhuru for Ingwe as FIFA reprimands club over Burundian strikerAs all these persist, one man, Aussems is frustrated as he wishes he could field his newly acquired arsenal. He has admitted that will not be able to field the five this season.”I am beginning to be pissed off regarding that because they have been training with us for three weeks and they have brought in something really good because they are five good players. They (management) have been promising me that will work on it (clearance) but they have not and the players don’t have cards and I know that they will not be registered and so it is a big disappointment.” the tactician said.Up next for AFC Leopards is a home game against Bandari on Sunday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium.
