Nabwire strikes late to salvage a point for AFC Leopards from jaws of defeat to Bandari

With only seven minutes left on the clock and AFC Leopards looking like a side that would willingly donate points to their returning former head coach Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani who is the interim boss at Bandari FC, captain fantastic Marvin Nabwire emerged from the ruins as he struck late to salvage a point for his side as the two sides settled for a 2-2 stalemate after the full regulation time. All through the league match played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon, the former player turned coach appeared well on his way to leading his troops to a first victory at the club since 4 January 2022 at the expense of his immediate former employers but Nabwire’s late suckerpunch ruined all would-be delight as Bandari’s winless run extended to nine games and Modo’s wait for a first win continued after his second game in charge.Wameponea! Tumejitahidi kuchukua pointi moja ugenini! Na tumebeba kikapu cha pointi nne kutoka kwa Ingwe msimu huu 🛒Tunazidi kusonga mbele ⬆️FT : AFC Leopards 2 V 2 Bandari FC pic.twitter.com/aaWT4TIN7W— Bandari Football Club (@BandariOfficial) March 6, 2022 Harambee Stars’ Abdallah ‘Starboy’ Hassan and his fellow striker Yohanna ‘Mbatizaji’ Mwita struck two well taken goals in the first half as the coastal based side led at the half time break but could not see out their advantage by the full time whistle. In that first half, Ingwe youngster Maxwell Otieno had given Ingwe the lifeline with his well struck goal by the interval and Nabwire earned his side a point with the second goal the evened proceedings.Wow! Maxwell Otieno restores parity for Ingwe with some very well taken goal involving one touch passes from three different players.Even thr fans appreciated that.
