Struggling National Super League side Mara Sugar have been handed a major boost after first-choice keeper Fredrick Munyendo returned to training.The experienced custodian has been out for the last two weeks, a period that has coincided with the team’s poor run in the second tier. They have since dropped to third last in the log and are at the risk of heading to the foot of the log if their fortunes do not change for the better in the next few weeks. Fredrick started training this Morning as we shapen ourselves ahead of Saturday’s task against Migori Youth FC,” the club said in a statement.In his absence, Fredrick Luwayanga and Duncan Ochieng have played between the posts but none has kept a clean sheet.In the 15 matches that they have played so far, the NSL newbies have managed three wins, four draws, and eight defeats.
