The Joseph Mwanza-coached military side have their work cut out against Kisumu who are coming off a win against relegation-threatened Kayole Starlets. “I cannot say we are not under pressure to get that win, football is a game of pressure but one just feeds off it to get the results they want. We are going for maximum points and we have a Game plan for it. The weather here is different, playing at 1pm with the sun high up and on artificial turf is not what we are used to as a team but we have to adapt, and do so quick so we don’t give the hosts the chance,” said coach Mwanza. Vihiga Queens chasing unbeaten league titleLast weekend, the soldiers twice came from down to equalise against Sparks in a two-all draw, in a match they would have easily won had they utilised their chances. “Football is all about the result and we have to use our chances to get the win we want. The table is very tight and a slip up of any manner will have a team quickly plummeting to the relegation zone but positive results will also take us up the log just as quick as the difference in points are small. I am proud that despite missing a majority of the players who featured in the first team last season, we are still churning positive results. This is good motivation to the current squad to keep fighting for the top position,” added the tactician. Kisumu, in the other side, are looking to continue their winning ways against tough opposition and move up from out of danger. Currently, the side is tenth at nine points from ten matches, having won three and lost the rest. Meawhile, Gaspo, third on te log are looking to end their two-match winless run as they play a wounded Bunyore away in Mumias. Gaspo have drawn against Ulinzi and Trans Nzoia Falcons in their last two matches.On their part, Daniel Arunga-coached Bunyore are looking to bounce back after their 4-0 loss to leaders Vihiga Queens as they face Gaspo for the first time ever. “Gaspo are a strong and experienced side so we cannot afford to be complacent. We have home advantage and will use that to the best of our ability and stuck to a good game plan.
